Next up for Team Alvarez BJJ was Austin Kells, fighting in the boys 17 year old division. Mr. Kells once again showed why he is one of the best teen grapplers in the state of Texas and the World.

After just becoming an IBJJF World Champion at the 2014 IBJJF World Jiu Jitsu Championships in Long Beach, CA, Mr. Kells dominated here in Texas by submitting his 1st opponent by Chicken Wing Submission from inside a Triangle Choke attack.

Mr. Kells then won a very exciting finals match that went into over time. Mr. Kells chased his opponent with numerous submission attempts but couldn’t finish any of them so the match had to go into overtime. Mr. Kells chased one of his favorite Loop Choke submissions from his Open Guard to score 1 point to get the victory and the Belt. Congrats to Mr. Kells on another great performance and achieving another Title.
