TEAM ALVAREZ BJJ ARLINGTON TX GRACIE GRAPPLING CUP RESULTS - August 1, 2012
7/28/12, Waco, TX, Team Alvarez BJJ Arlington TX Gracie Grappling Cup results were awesome! With Master Relson Gracie being in attendance everyone knew that it his presence would bring grapplers and teams from all over. With Waco being about a hour and half drive for Team Alvarez BJJ Arlington TX, only a small portion of the team could make the Gracie Grappling Cup. With just a small team of some their toughest Young Samurai’s, Alvarez BJJ Kids and Teens team took 1st place in the NO GI portion of the tournament and took 2nd place in the GI division. The Adult team for Alvarez BJJ only had a handful of competitors but racked up enough wins to take 2nd place in both the GI and NO GI divisions of the tournament. For the Young Samurai’s it was back to back weekends of being Team Champions as they took 1st place in the GI and NO GI divisions on July 22, 2012 in Denton, TX at the North American Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation tournament and then 1st place at the 2012 Gracie Grappling Cup in Waco, TX. Team Alvarez Kids and Teen Team will celebrate their back to back team championships this Friday August 3,2012 at 4:30pm at Alley Cats in Arlington TX for a hour of bowling, $10 game card, food and drinks. Congrats against Young Samurai’s on another team championship and congrats to all adult competitors that helped Team Alvarez take 2nd place in both divisions.
