Team Alvarez Jiu Jitsu stormed into the Dallas Convention Center and battled all day Saturday with 49 competitors overall. This was their biggest team to date. All students from the 5 year olds that competed to the 4o something year olds trained and worked so hard week in and week out leading up to the tournament. As an end result Team Alvarez BJJ Arlington TX took home the big, beautiful team trophy along with the $1,500 Prize Money! This was the 2nd year in a row that Team Alvarez Jiu Jitsu Arlington TX won the Europa tournament put on by Fight to Win and the World Grappling Circuit. It also the 3rd year in a row winning one of their big tournaments as Team Alvarez won the ADCC  Team Trophy in November 20,2010. Big congrats to the entire team as it is not just a victory for those that competed but a victory to the non competitors as well. Even though 90% of Team Alvarez Jiu Jitsu does not compete, the non competitors help sharpen the swords of the ones that do just as much.  On the mat when it is one on one when we shake hands with our opponent, we fight and our fearless like Samurai’s! As a team, even though most of the time we are out numbered by academies that have multiple affiliations and teams that have way more students, we fight together like the Spartans in 300!
